TWO-DAY PROGRAMME

DAY 1 – AVALANCHE WORKSHOP
The course is held at the Golte ski resort under the guidance of an experienced mountain guide
The guides are licensed by the Association of Slovenian Mountain Guides and are experienced experts in the Slovenian mountains.

The course covers information on:
Winter safety in the mountains
Learning about snow cover, its cross-section and terrain
Planning a tour in advance with safety in mind
Getting to know the equipment of the Avalanche Triplet
Demonstration, use and training in avalanche beacon search
Training in probing and the correct, successful and timely excavation of buried

DAY 2 – GUIDED TOUR (valid for one-day ski tour)

Governance:
Experienced and licensed guides (from the basics of touring to the most hidden corners of the Kamniško Savinja Alps)

Lessons learnt:
Correct use and installation of touring ski equipment
Safe ascent and descent route planning
Correct climbing technique
Correct downhill technique – skiing off-piste
