Project for Nature – Save our rivers

THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY / THINK LOCALLY, ACT GLOBALLY

Let’s plant, let’s build rainwater storage, let’s protect riparian areas, let’s leave no (waste) footprints, let’s compost, let’s talk to others about a global problem, let’s listen, let’s RESPECT NATURE!

In the 2019 season, we presented our project FOR NATURE for the first time, and now we’re looking forward to the third season of a successful idea.

If you are not familiar with our project… we are an organisation that works in nature, so we must not forget our daily impact on the environment. It is up to us, and to all of you, to take responsibility day by day for not harming nature and preserving its authenticity.

We believe in – a better tomorrow – that’s why every year, we invite one of the foreign non-profit organisations (NGOs) whose mission is to protect the environment.

It is very important for us to spread the conservation message among people, especially among the younger generations (the world is built on the young), so we also involve one of the local primary schools in the project, join one of the school art classes and create nature-themed artworks with the children.

This year’s participants are NGO Save Our Rivers, who want everyone, no matter where they live, to have a voice in deciding the future of our landscape parks and wild rivers, and are campaigning for:

– the existence of UK rivers,

– fighting damming and destroying rivers,

– preserving the natural,

– for the future of our national parks and wild rivers.

Gornji Grad Primary School also participated in the project, with a selected drawing by Sara Tevš.

We supported SOR’s idea and took it to the world, using their logo, combining it with our logo and a student’s drawing, and that’s how our organic T-shirts came about.
